Jaqquline Lawrie, Founder
Jaqquline Lawrie, Founder and 2017 Editor-In-Chief, is a 4th year student studying a Bachelor of Business (marketing major) and a Bachelor of Public Relations and Communications at Griffith University, Nathan Campus. She first had the idea of creating ‘Published’ in late 2016 when running for Secretary of the Student Representative Council (SRC). By creating a Student Newsletter she hoped to bring back culture on campus, represent students and their beliefs while also bringing everyone together. Fortunately Lawrie was successful in her campaign and in 2017 she became secretary of the SRC for Nathan. After beginning her role on campus she met with dozens of students and clubs who were very eager to get involved in ‘Published’ and in January of 2017 it was launched.
Isabella Cheng, 2018 Editor-In-Chief
Isabella Cheng oversees all the articles in Published. She is a 3rd year studying Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Journalism at Griffith University, Nathan Campus. She was appointed 2018’s Editor-In-Chief by Jaqquline Lawrie. In 2017 they worked as a partnership, Isabella managed the online portion and created content while Lawrie lead the team. Isabella saw the opportunity Published gave young writers by allowing contributors to voice their opinions about topics that mattered. It was informative, bold, and most importantly from the perspective of students wanting to make an impact. The relaunch of Published 2018 – Isabella aims to lead the team to new heights by including all Griffith University campuses.
Demi Lynch, Managing Editor
Demi Lynch is managing editor of Published and assists with putting together the publication. She is in her final year of her Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Journalism degree. She is the announcer and producer of 4ZZZ radio program The Nasty Woman Club. And this year she had the opportunity to report at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games for The Village Source and The Wire. Demi hopes to pursue a career in podcasting and TV journalism.
Ellysha Beard, Assistant Editor
With a passion for writing and reading alike, Ellysha Beard assists with editing much-loved pieces sent in by our contributors. Ellysha is studying a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Creative Writing and Literature at Griffith University, Nathan Campus. In 2017, she had a small role with the team, with two of her pieces published. Ellysha’s aim is to both write and work closely with contributions surrounding impacting social issues that can resonate with the students
